Elegant Pink and Gold

In the spirit of romance, (being that this wedding took place Valentine's day weekend), the couple chose a monochromatic color palate including shades of pink and gold. Design elements in this buffet including pearls, feathers, and crystals. The groom loves cupcakes and Flicks (chocolate wafer candies), so of course those were included. Also, the bride wanted LOTS of pink candy - strawberry rock candy, sour watermelon belts, pink M&M's, pink gummie candy. Also included were white chocolate covered pretzels, "champagne bubbles", and clear rock candy on swizzle sticks. Overall, this look said: LOVE!

Pretty in Purple

This beautiful November bride chose dark purple and slate gray as the colors for her wedding. For the candy, however, the couple decided to select candy that they loved! I love this because it's so personal... The candies included red licorice, sour patch kids, skittles, pretzel M&M's, conversation hearts (yes, the ones you see around Valentine's Day - so cute), and rock candy. The display was so colorful, but elegant as well.

So Very Vintage...

This October bride had a very clear vision for her wedding - vintage! Every element of her reception was based on the theme, "a nod to the past". The couple chose vintage candies such as Turkish Taffy, Bit-O-Honey, and White Metallic Sixlets that looked the pearls. Other elements included vintage birdcages, lots of lace, and even suitcases on the candy table. This candy buffet was so elegant and romantic...love.

Retro at the Valley Ho!

One of my brides, (and friends), Allison was married at the Valley Ho and wanted to have a fun retro theme for her candy buffet. Her beautiful reception was held on the rooftop of the hotel and was accented with so many fun and punchy colors! For her candy buffet, the couple chose fun dip, wax lips, salt water taffy, Jelly Bellies, wax bottles, rock candy, and gumballs! I was lucky enough to be a guest at this wedding and loved watching the guests enjoy the candy table (especially all of the cute little kids). My favorite picture is of the bride's daughter modeling the wax lips...priceless! :)
